Meet the Team
As Managing Director, Chris is responsible for daily management of the company and deals with a wide range of UK and overseas clients. His main expertise lies in retirement planning, pensions, investment and comprehensive financial planning.
He has nearly 30 years’ experience as a financial planner and has worked for a number of major firms of Chartered Accountants. He has advised diverse sets of clients, including businesses, high net worth individuals, expatriates and teachers in international schools. He has also provided assistance to other financial professionals with complex pensions advice and transfers.
Chris holds several industry certifications, including the Chartered Financial Planner and the Certified Financial Planner, for which he is a long standing assessor. He also holds specialist pension (G60) and mortgage (MAQ) qualifications and the Advanced Financial Planning Certificate.
Chris lives in Cheshire with his wife and six children. Outside work he recently fulfilled a long-held ambition by completing a part time History Degree at Manchester University. He specialised in the medieval period from the Anglo-Saxon occupation to kingship under Henry II, with occasional forays into Italian and Spanish language.
Richard is responsible for technical services and report writing. He assists advisers in determining the best advice for their clients and in the preparation of suitability letters and reports.
Richard has over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry, having originally trained as a tied adviser with Bristol & West/Eagle Star. He switched to the independent advice sector in 2001, becoming a Paraplanner for a pension transfer specialist in Berkshire, and then as a Senior Paraplanner for an IFA firm based in Twickenham.
When not at work, he enjoys time at home with his young children and where time allows, honing his skills on the chess board!
Marjan is our Office Manager. Her responsibilities include liaising with product providers for new business and policy servicing, building relationships with clients and assisting them with any policy administration, as well as providing general administration services to the advisers. She ensures that our office runs smoothly and is also responsible for the supervision and training of administrative staff.
Marjan has served over 10 years in the financial services industry in a variety of roles. She started providing basic policy administration for one of the major product providers and moved up the ladder to pensions and annuity new business and servicing, customer services consultant for all life and pension products and mortgage advice consultant. Marjan has completed several courses in Customer Service Skills and provided training and technical support for financial administration staff. She also holds Financial Planning Certificates 1, 2 and 3 as well as the CF6 Mortgage Advice certificate.
Judy is a Financial Services graduate and has worked in Financial Services since 2002 and recently joined Holborn Assets as a sub-contracted Paraplanner primarily assisting in the research and preparation of reports and suitability letters.
Judy is fully trained in a broad range of financial planning matters and previously worked for a firm of Later Life Specialists predominantly dealing with care needs and estate planning issues. She is Level 4 Diploma qualified and also holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) and the Certificate in Mortgage Advice.
Caroline has worked in Financial Services in various roles over the past 30 years, progressing from Sales Support to Client Services Manager and Paraplanner. Throughout that time, she has progressed her studies and has attained a Diploma in Financial Services. Having passed the advanced Financial Planning exams, AF1, AF3 and AF4, Caroline is now working towards Chartered status, which she hopes to have obtained by the end of this year.
